In all likelihood in final casting to get on the show they have to submit plans of what they’d make each round (so the show has supplies), then they MUST make that. If one item a contestant wants to make is something the producers know the judges hate that contestant is definitely getting cast

Read this in college and I remember in discussion saying something like “I feel like Humbert Is trying to convince the reader to do the justifying for him, not defend himself but to get us to do it for him.“ prof had the biggest grin while the rest of the class was confused and/or started defending.

Narrator: Elected Dems disclaimed loudly & frequently they wanted to engage in all of these reforms: they launched hundreds of studies. But the status quo Madisonian committee system allowed republicans, lobbyists and dems hostile to change to perform abortions on every single desired reform.

Durbin was assigned this because he’s not seeking reelection.

Schumer didn’t lead on this issue to protect his own reelection chances. it’s cowardice all the way down.

And the fix is so easy: taxes (subscription fees), regulations, and fines. Encourage all fifty states to set up their own systems too and don’t allow any discount for overlapping fines/regulations, theyd clean it up in less than 8 hours

It is so damn hard!
November 9, 2025 at 2:24 AM
Yes! And Madison’s anti majoritarian committee system was put in place in the first Congress so that he could make sure his fellow slave lords controlled all legislation and could use the committee system to perform abortions on all laws even slightly hostile to slavery.

You could solve most of the problems of social media by just charging the company a small tax per user‘s post. Every tech company is now a subscription company right? Well guess what, those company’s subscribe to the government and now pay the govt‘s subscription fee (taxes): assessed monthly.

Free slogan idea “make Medicare great again”

And no one cares about “expand drug price negotiation” no one wants that. What they want is hard price caps on outrageously expensive drugs implemented the day it’s signed into law. Not a 2 year study of the 10 most expensive recommended for negotiation for a price reduction maybe 2 years later.

These folks have never tried to take a picture of stars at night from earth, have they? Lol they ain’t gonna expose on the moon on a 16mm film camera neither for the same reason A snapshot on earth won’t. You require a long exposure per frame to capture it.

And for me the “why should I vote for you” question has one axis “Will you enact revenge on Republicans and actively repeal _everything_ they’ve done 1981-2028?” policy details do NOT matter, I want across the board justice and expungement of their poisonous legacies and accomplishments.

The number of legislators is ~ zero that can do the math that $4200/year is the same as $80/week. they just hear The “four thousand” part and assume that is an egregiously large number. Doesn’t matter they have a calculator on their phone, they’re mathematically illiterate forever and always.

Spinning off that, torpor and infinitely delayed govt action defined every post CRA presidency through Biden.

What Trump 2s staff learned from the pandemic is govt can act big, fast and yield massive immediate outcomes—and they preferred results now to an incremental change implemented 2 yrs later

Lift the cap on social security save it forever.
Raise the Medicare tax 1% every year on income above $1mil and lower the Medicare enrollment age two years every year: yields universal healthcare with incremental increases on those who can afford the (eventual) 32.5% tax rise :)

But have you considered that the target audience of this scandal have neither families nor are in fact people?

I smell an AI conspiracy incoming!

Twelve out of eleventy LLMs agree that incorrectly identifying filial hierarchy is a scandal no computer could forgive!

Ideological Jello! Makes me wonder, what shapes does water form when you read this drivel to a glass of water? Cause water has memory right?

Dem consultants, “So, Spider-man, our demographics analysis suggests you should focus less on aiding people in need of help and also avoid defending the defenseless and refocus your priorities. Have you considered means testing your potential “clients” first? We think it’ll really help your image.”

Only possible upside is this set of characteristics seems it could be highly correlated with the types of people who will roll over and rat out anyone and everyone (above below or beside) after there’s a regime change with relatively little effort

I want to see a superbowl ad this coming year blaming a high electric bill on the new data center near you. hopefully somebody is on that.

Since it’s paywalled, is this for housing development or commercial/industrial development? Still infuriating either way, but if it’s a nakedly anti housing / anti density ruling, it’s even more outrageous especially since voters affirmatively declared they want density there! @volts.wtf

More desperation late game to try and stay in the playoff mix? younger coaches more willing to experiment/gamble? Sports betting / crypto deliberately influencing the sports media ecosystem to encourage college coaches to go for it (to try and gain arbitrage for weird parlays)?

These folks would never be on the side of progressives in the battles a 100 years ago for city sewage systems and water treatment facilities. they’d never be on the side of progressives in the battle for universal high school, or The battle for rural electrification, or the battle for an income tax
