Consider the victorious, historic tone in use. No discussion of political headwinds, but plenty of words on his own personal history, his arguments against his opponent, and no mention of previous Seattle Times endorsement Jenny Durkan's political follies. (5/6)

Following up: It's worth adding that King County is much bigger than Seattle, and not all KC ballots are eligible to vote for Seattle's mayor.

In order for Wilson to pull a comeback victory over the next few days, she will need 36,160 (56.5%) of those 64k uncounted votes to be for her. 3/3

Washington's Secretary of State election results page ( results.vote.wa.gov/results/2025... ) gives us a view into this by providing estimated totals of collected ballots yet to be counted. As of tonight (Tue Nov 4), approximately 64,000 ballots are yet uncounted in King County. 2/3
