I’ve had great results shooting portra at box speed. I’ll have some 800 iso frames from a folding camera to share as soon as I get off my ass and edit them.

I don’t know but it’s so noticeable especially if you have spent time on any of the late film SLRs or good DSLRs

On my 6x7 I spend a lot of time on a 75 for normal stuff or 105 for portraits so I guess it translates.

50 is totally a short tele. Marketing it as “normal” was a weird choice for the industry tbh.

I’m glad my 20mm lore is spreading haha. It feels wide enough to be wide, but not a gimmick. And then 35 feels like a good normal. I have a great 28, and a few 50s I never use.

I’m likely to just drive to somewhere dry and clear to shoot some haha. It’s all dark clouds here for the next 4 months

Reading (and writing) have been such huge parts of my life I can’t even imagine how I would survive without them. I can see why it keeps popping up, it’s a devastating assessment of a commonly used paradigm.
