Hi from US Virgin Islands! I’d say you needn’t worry much til you have a few 100 troops housed in barracks meant for refinery workers, a big ass radar facility sprouted at your local airport, and amphibious warships and other Naval ships docking at cruise ship piers for 1000s of soldiers’ R&R. 🤨

Nah. Sometimes it’s just a matter of convenience. Nat Guard came in to operate a center near where I live to distribute COVID shots. More efficient and time-saving than the Dr’s office, and shaved 12 miles off of the center we already had open. Vax rate increased, and nobody was forced to get shots.

I was just a kid. But I remember my friend telling me that her parents told her we’d all have to become Catholic if he won. This horrified me at the time because I didn’t want to have to wear a uniform to school. 😬

These folks were the hall monitors in middle school who had to run to the teacher to report skirts an inch too high, or that Susie was hanging out with that delinquent tattooed guy. The rest of us grew up and learned to mind our own business and just ignore those who aren’t in lockstep.
