It definitely felt like a refresh, something AEW has needed since at least All Out. I think we will see Cope soon, sadly, but we are probably rid of Jericho.

The response shouldn't be to collapse into victimhood about how uniquely horrible the country is and how there's nothing that can be done, we're just too evil
But "finding a path forward" has to come with an honest reckoning of *what* and *who* we all are, soaking up evil propaganda for generations

It is definitely interesting and a real phenomenon. I go to AEW shows in the Chicago area and am amazed at the difference in crowds depending on venue even in the same area. Aragon residency crowds were super knowledgeable, but NOW arena crowds had more curious WWE fans or lapsed fans mixed in.

I remember at the time people would argue over whether his absolute refusal to accept he was a heel was part of a heel persona or genuine. I think history has shown it was the latter.

I think WWE being the only major US promotion for so long truly convinced some people that Vince's way is the only way to be successful, both financially and creatively.

I probably (very slightly) preferred the men's match but they were both excellent and did a great job distinguishing themselves from one another. The finish to the men's pushed it over the line for me but I definitely would not argue with anyone who thought the opposite.

No one is attacking them because they left. To the extent people are attacking them its because they are acting like a quick squash match is beneath them when that is exactly their level right now. Go do something to get yourself over and you will get more time.
