I think we really should stop using antifa and just fully say anti-fascist and get them saying they are against anti fascism. Using antifa is giving them some distance and I genuinely think some of their base don’t even know that’s what it stands for.

Today is a day when arts degrees are worthless, but the product of those degrees is so valuable it would kill an entire industry if they were made to pay for it.

I have no idea why an account that I'm used to posting 100% movie/TV reviews and related hot takes has suddenly gifted me 13 posts' worth of excellent cassowary facts, but here's me not complaining.
Is there a more magnificent Australian bird than the Southern Cassowary? There is not. Located in Queensland, Papua New Guinea, and a few Pacific islands, it is the third-largest flightless bird in the world after the ostrich and the emu. (1/13)

Getting ready for #AllHallowsRead and this year we could use a little help.

So if you can afford a dollar towards giving kids spooky books for Halloween, or even if you can just signal boost this, any help would be lovely :)

Well, finally
An 🇦🇺 report evaluating the Cass Review has recommended that it should not be used as a guide of any kind in regards to the care of young trans people.

Human writing surprises you. ChatGPT can't do that because it's all based on probability. There's a line in a Sigrid song, "you touch like you want revenge" - I heard it and went, "ChatGPT couldn't write that."
In food history, we notice how super-refined foods--gelatin, vienna sausage, white bread--lose class and become horrifying once they become industrialized. Suddenly, fingermarks in bread dough demonstrate skill, not clumsiness.

Post-chatGPT, I'm feeling this about writing. Smoothness feels gross.

Day 3 of glasses-wearing: I've reached the point where I forget I'm even wearing them. Then I see myself in a mirror and am startled all over again by what I look like now.

Literally mistook myself for someone else in a mass video call at work.

The weirdest thing about becoming someone who wears glasses at age 42 is how I look completely alien to myself and yet, based on the percentage of my workmates who have noticed in two days, apparently completely normal to everyone else.
