Writer: DILO (2025). PUPPET MASTER COMPLETE: A FRANCHISE HISTORY. PUPPET MASTER: THE GAME. SLICES OF JULIE. A TIME FOR EVERY PURPOSE. He/Him.
One of these is a controversial, critically condemned as sick exploitation, R-rated horror film from 1980, the other is a massively popular, beloved, PG action/adventure film from 1981.

That's one that's so hard to gauge because there was so much exposure at the same time, but it began with this action figure, this was for sure the entrypoint, followed by an issue of the Marvel comic, and from there catching bits of the movies and ROBOCOP: THE SERIES on TNT.

Let’s change the discourse and pivot away from those pesky Star Wars rankings.

The movie is what it is, but Wolf is the coolest Predator that ever lived. Absolutely merciless to humans and aliens alike. Could not be made to give a fuck.

A shocker, I know, but it's the absolute truth.

The one exception to this was Raul Julia, who was dying at the time. So, despite being the main villain of the game, Bison was played by a stunt double with his hat pulled down so that you couldn't see his face.

Amidst the hellish production of STREET FIGHTER: THE MOVIE, all of the cast were contractually obligated to provide all of the movements for the tie-in STREET FIGHTER: THE MOVIE: THE GAME which was accomplished by filming/digitizing real actors, a style famously popularized by MORTAL KOMBAT.

It's complete tonal and stylistic whiplash from pretty much every sequence in the franchise before and after it, but when you're 12 years old at a sleepover, watching Freddy go ham on a pool party whips ass.

I know we're not getting off that easy, but this truly has a whole "As we go on we remember all the good times we had together" ass vibe.

Three words that let you know you're about to see some wild shit. And if you've ever seen another Full Moon film before this, chances are good you're about to see footage of that, too.

More movies should end with a big Ghoulie being summoned from Hell to eat the little Ghoulies, who is then himself killed by eating a monkey suit stuffed with dynamite, scored to an off-key, modified for legal purposes rendition of "Here Comes the Bride."

There's a special excitement any time one of your deep cut faves gets a moment in the spotlight and for me, still, one of the shining moments of X-MEN '97 was watching everyone find out that Deathbird rocks.
