Those who think “cis” is a slur are likely the same people who object to calling heterosexual folk “straight.” When you’re used to your identity being assumed and celebrated in society, people pointing it out to you can feel oppressive. But labeling reality isn’t oppression — it’s just description.

I think we might be sleeping in our new house tonight. It's the least dusty (partner is horribly allergic to dust and house moves are dusty).

We seem to have fibre Internet a day early which is nice.

Washing machine may be able to move with help from local 'hench queers' later this week.

I think I've found my best book of the year so far: Golem Girl by Riva Lehrer a North American Jewish disability activist and artist www.rivalehrerart.com/book

Riva's webpage has several of her portrait works which are discussed in the book. Need to reread/look at on a bigger screen.

Regarding the Palestine Action hearing, which will be partly heard in secret. How is it allowed that the defendants can't hear all allegations against them when we are supposed to have habeas corpus?

(I'm coincidentally reading Tom Bingham's Rule of Law, only at Ch6 so far tho).

To put that these Motability cuts into perspective...

It will save around £300 million.

Latest figures show the DWP has spent over £400 million fighting people on PIP appeals.

A reminder: there is no such thing as “too many” kids being trans. We should nurture young trans people with the social, medical, and legal resources to flourish.

It’s simple.

Interviewer: “What do you say to trans kids who are starting their transition?”

Zohran Mamdani: "We're gonna make this a city that doesn't just protect trans kids, but also celebrates and cherishes them."

Some are suggesting you deliberately write inaccurate or confusing alt text, because they say this confuses AI scrapers that are analyzing images.

The purpose of alt text is to help people who cannot see the image. Deliberately misrepresenting the image is a gross misuse of alt text. Don't do it.

🚨Our statement on #Budget2026

Yet more Government actions that place the burden on Disabled people instead of taking responsibility for an unequal and inaccessible society that the Government has the power to change.

The BBC's has responded in The Guardian that this was a routine editorial decision, but also that it was made on legal advice. Those two explanations don’t fit together. /1
I wish I didn’t have to share this. But the BBC has decided to censor my first Reith Lecture.

They deleted the line in which I describe Donald Trump as “the most openly corrupt president in American history.” /1

"they are simply not thinking about you" - burn!
I have never heard a polyamorous person say "the succession of faces rivals the exclusive union", the same way I have never heard a queer couple say "wow I wonder what straight couples are having for dinner right now", buddy they are simply not thinking about you

This government has not taken a single meaningful step to tackle the causes of the horrendous inefficiencies in the criminal justice system, instead rushing to dismantle trial by jury.

Legal professionals have offered numerous alternatives to address the backlog.

Ministers are not listening.
