Time for my annual week long short film obsession 💅✨

And how the heck do I always manage to watch the best ones only like a year after release?? 😭

I just watched "Enemy" (2013) and it was SO good! I can't explain how much I loved the directing in this one. The shots were artistic and so beautiful. I really loved the vibe of it all. I was kind of surprised by it.

I just watched "Caddo Lake" (2024) and I had so much fun! M. Night didn't dissappoint with this one. I liked the ending a lot, even when I guessed the plot twists earlier on.

I just watched "Suspiria" (2018), well finally! My heart has very mixed feelings about his movie. On one hand we have the amazing performances, first and foremost Tilda Swinton, then Mia Goth and Dakota Johnson. But then we have me - not a very smart person. And the plot is getting lost on me.

I just watched "The Witch" (2015). It was pretty cool! I mean, there's a lot of religious context, so probably not everyone's cup of tea, but I really liked the whole period vibe. The whole concept was interesting to me.

I just watched "Goodnight mommy" and it was one of the movies where you can literally predict the plot twist accurately three minutes into the movie. The horror aspect wasn't very big, except for one scene that I guess the whole budget went into.

I just watched "I am the pretty thing that lives in the house" (2018) and it was underwhelming to say the least. It felt all too slow. The main character wasn't very prominent, and kind of annoying. There wasn't a lot of actual horror themes.

I just watched "Anon" (2018). It was refreshing, in a way. The movie had it's own unique pacing, and the whole vibe, honestly. With any other movie I'd feel like it was too slow, sluggish, but here? It worked, and it worked so well.

I just watched "House of Spoils" (2024) and it was honestly so good. I think the plot was quite original, keeping the viewer guessing for a lot of things. Acting was good, captivating, in some scenes really moving. I liked the ending.

I just watched "Night of the skinwalkers" (2024) and what an experience it was. Undescribable. I have never seen a movie that made less sense than this. When you think you're confused in the middle of it, you don't even know what's coming by the end.
June 5, 2025 at 3:51 PM
I just watched "Here After" (2024) and I don't know how I feel about it. I feel like it all was a metaphor for dealing with trauma. And there was also religion there. And I predicted the plot twist.

I just watched "Cuckoo" (2024) and woah. It only has 5.7 on IMDB but I honestly don't agree. It was super cool, I think!
Hunter Schafer was really good, Dan Stevens gorgeous.
