It’s the first of its kind in the UK and serves as an excellent example of a preventive, community-based service that could be implemented nationwide.

I’m pleased that this government has committed to halving violence against women and girls in the UK within a decade.

What we need now is a clear, comprehensive VAWG strategy that sets out how.

On this International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, we must commit to funding trauma-informed services, making the criminal justice system fit for purpose, and driving systemic change to end male violence.

For the lowest paid workers it will be 15, while the wealthiest will be allowed to settle in just 3 years.

We are throwing vulnerable people under the bus to appease the far right. And it won’t even work - all we are doing is fuelling Reform and normalising cruel, divisive policies. It is truly shameful.

Policies like seizing asylum seekers’ jewellery, making refugees wait 20 years for permanent settlement, and deporting families after they’ve resettled here because their country is “deemed safe” are wrong on every level.
