Mainly football and a bit of politics #saintsfc
Swansea are looking now too. The betting markets have been all over the place, not sure anyone knows anything. It sounds like we're being quite methodical about it and I'd be annoyed if we rushed into something only for someone like Farke/Corberan to become available in a couple of weeks #SaintsFC

Bet his first name is less common!!

Yes Jander played well, and the best we've seen of Fellows and Azaz too. But we were pretty dreadful at the back and lacked any real control over the game against very limited opposition. Huge room for improvement #SaintsFC

It *should* be irrelevant... but it won't be if results don't pick up immediately. An appointment with zero honeymoon period or margin for error #SaintsFC

That 0-1 loss at home to Nottingham Forest is the worst performance I have ever seen from a #SaintsFC side so Jones takes the award. I'd suggest Still is a much better manager than he's shown with us, wouldn't be surprised if he walks into another job and comes up smelling of roses

Jones had the world cup break which was essentially another pre season and a much better #SaintsFC squad... He was an unmitigated disaster

I can't see that Ralph or RM would have any interest in coming back (although the players apparently want RM). Carrick ticks the most boxes for me - available, plays a possession based style, knows the league, commands respect, took Middlesbrough on when they were in a similar position #SaintsFC

Beggars can't be choosers...

Yes it was

Remind you of anything? #SaintsFC

Yeh, very punchy pod. Whilst very fair and deserved its the most openly critical I've heard Alfie. I had thought the same about Adam Blackmore on Going Home too. Everyone has had enough

Yeah this is my concern, if you've lost the away fans, you're in trouble
October 26, 2025 at 6:27 AM
It would be quite the redemption arc...

But Will he??
October 25, 2025 at 4:58 PM
Coventry sacked Mark Robins in early November last year, 4 wins from 14... Would Still get longer than that? If it wasn't good enough for a Cov side without parachute payments, it's not good enough for #SaintsFC with the money we've spent. St Mary's will be mutinous next week if we lose again

Oh right 😳 blimey! I'll look forward to the post match interview landing on BBC sounds!
October 21, 2025 at 9:37 PM
Really? According to whom?
October 21, 2025 at 9:27 PM
I know times have generally changed in the peloton but his margins of victory are eyebrow raising, and there are plenty of characters in the background at UAE with very questionable pasts when it comes to doping. I have no explicit reason to question Pog, and yet, I just have niggly doubts

It's looking increasingly foolish, yes

Downs was clearly not up to the mark well before the end of the transfer window though. There was a window of opportunity where the club could have hedged their bets and brought in a relatively cheap Championship journeyman battering ram and we'd probably be comfortably in the play off positions
