Literally every minority has infinitely more in common with Paul Atredes than Elon ever could. How is a child of nepotism similar to someone who is forced into a life and death situation where people they love are doomed to die due to the choices of people in power 1000 years ago?

White people (with notable exceptions) haven’t had an atrocious experience in living memory and so edgy teenagers think genocide is when the state doesn’t let Muslim people pray in schools and not burning babies to fuel death camps. This is why books like Night aren’t suitable for English class

An aspect of fascist regimes is refusing to acknowledge fault. The fact that the consensus among most conservative spaces online is to not acknowledge the tariffs happening right now is a sign of our fall into fascism and of the failure of these tariffs.

What’s strange to me is that whenever I go into conservative places (I do this because I abet myself) they have two modes: everything is fine (it’s not), and everything is horrible (it’s not). R/trump is refusing to talk about the recent plane accident for example but thinks there are no blue states
