I'm curious: What scenario did they want? Aren't they, at least in theory, getting the pipeline they wanted? Did they think they would get a pipeline across BC without federalism of some kind?

This team is terrible. The GM has constructed a losing roster. The coach seems incapable of improving them defensively. Every game, for quite a long time now, is just a question of whether the goalie can perform a miracle to keep the Leafs in it.

It's a good question. I think they can. I suspect they avoid doing so for two primary reasons: one, the LPC is basically in support of privatizing health care; two, the LPC does not want to appear to be overbearing (cons would have a field day if the LPC intervened). www.cma.ca/latest-stori...
