Kirk does NOT fit the code. The flag is not there to honor “personal friends of the president.” And trvmp ordered flags at “half mast” as if we were a boat. Trvmp is an idiot. Kirk was a racist, misogynistic harpoon thrower. I am sad for his family. I am not sad for him. Hate was drawn to his hate.

The students only had rocks to fight back. TEACHERS came out and convinced the students to leave. May 4 may be “Star Wars Day” to you but for those of us in school, May 4 changed the face of protesting and our view of our government. A government that sets its military on its people is desperate.

For those of you who weren’t around, the Guard was sent to the Univ. of because of heated protests against the Vietnam War which Nixon had recently escalated. A standoff. They tried to dispel the crowd with gas. For some reason, the heavily armed Guard fired. 9 were injured. 4 others were killed.

There are many of us still around who absolutely remember Kent State and the National Guard. The guard are not police, haven’t been trained for police work, and should never be used as police. They are trained for WAR. 1/
