Sure, an invitro process would be even harder due to unviable yy combinations but still... just imagine that. Would help with soooo many infertility cases... not that I think it will happen.

Yeah, the scale of the setting and what they want to market with the works really kills a lot of the possibilities for narratives…
I suppose that’s partly why I think fantasy is just better… Especially with stuff like G&F which is a lot smaller in grandiose and scale…

And lets not forget other extremely important matters, like lessening the risk of being confined in your immediate surroundings. It creates opportunities for someone outside the family to interact with kids, notice problems, take action etc. It’s not perfect at it, far from it but it’s valuable.
