This was lunch: locally foraged chanterelles and some very pretty seared endive with a chunk of baguette. Dinner is leftovers that are much less cute but also delicious.

Yeah I checked back on them this morning and there's some kind of white sticky goo they're very into! Despite the really cold and wet weather. I still need to find out the tree species. It's a garden plant my parents put in decades ago.

I clearly was more focused on the text than the maps while editing since Lake Merritt does make the Otters Spotted map, but Behind the Safeway didn't! Such a cool find Maggie 💙💙
