Growing up in the 80s, there were lots of lessons in popular culture about the dangers of far right politics. Like the incredible series "Images of War" that seemed to be on forever, lots of popular films and so on but it seems to have stopped now except perhaps for some references in some SciFi...

Such an important point
Reeves’ problem is obvious: you can’t iron out the imbalances in an economy as unequal as ours only using the tax system.

The rich don’t just have too much wealth; they have too much power – and they’re using it to capture our democratic institutions.

When even the RSPB tells you that Labour hates nature, you really should listen.
Last night the Government steamrollered its Planning Bill through, slamming the door on vital protections for nature.

They said it would be a ‘win-win’ for the economy and nature.

But in reality, they’ve pushed nature into last place.

We are driving up to spend the weekend in Yorkshire, just mentioned to Mrs Richards how we used to get the train absolutely everywhere and how it's just unthinkable to do that now and she pointed out yes and we didn't even used to have to book in advance!

i think that people who use headphones in public places like trains are selfish. keeping all your cool music and podcasts to yourself is genuinely sociopathic and deranged behavior. play it on your phone's speaker and let everyone enjoy it, or don't play it at all

The gear cable to my rear derailleur has worn through the guide on the base of the BB shell and looks like it's eating into the shell itself.
I'm thinking of replacing the guide with a short piece of gear cable outer and clamping it on. That should help keep it free mud too?
Would that work?

I think anyone interviewing Farage should just ask him general knowledge questions about Clacton. Better to show viewers how he doesn't give a fuck about the people who voted for him than give him airtime to spout his nonsense.

#teamcompsci "Reticulum": A new type of peer to peer network stack has been created that could become global, can be built using cheap components and doesn't need anything like an ISP.
