I guess all expressions of need are "behaviour" - but this can be weaponised by some to say that firm boundaries or expectations shouldn't be placed on some children #newtosltchat

A1 I think this is tricky.
Behaviour can absolutely a form of commination. But i do feel there are instances where this may not be the case.
This is why building relationships and understanding the children we teach is key #NewtoSLTChat

A2 Big thing leaders do is set the culture. Yes there are other bits they can implement, but if the culture is right and supports teachers, that goes a long way #newtosltchat

I think that this shouldn't be an expectation. In fact, every teacher should try and get away early once a week. Yes, things need to be kept on top of - but I get in early so I can leave early for my family #NewtoSLTChat
