Yay, fixed it! When my landlord told me it would be 24hrs before he could get someone out to dismantle the mechanism I made the sensible, measured, adult decision to balance on a windowsill 13 floors up and just beat the fuck out of it until it gave in.
Windows are my bitch.

I often forget that Mongolia is the most sparsely populated country in the world, because we're all crammed into a single valley and there are never any seats in my local pub on a Friday.

This is pretty cool. Thai actor Dom Hetrakul went to the Emmys in a raw silk tux made by Wardrobe Ministry, the tiny little Bangkok company that make my favourite knit polo shirts. Just a few years ago they didn't even have a physical shop. Love to see a good small business doing well.
