“I was just following orders” doesn’t get the clicks of “Don’t blame me cuz I threw my ballot away/did a protest vote” but it’s definitely starting to feel like that line between accomplice and ‘accessory.’

It’s why I try to call it OUR media and not ‘the’ media unless I’m talking about ‘the’ media pimps and the ‘tech bros’ as separate from the tech WORKERS.

The "media" doesn't care about content or accuracy, they just want clicks. And all the slop-engine manufacturers specifically intend to muddy that understanding so they can claim both a) their products are a perfect companion, and b) it's against the terms of service to follow advice from it.

It’s been thirty years of tv pimps trying to steal search engine and video streaming tech from Librarians. We can’t be surprised that they’re trying to equate deepfake spambots with storm predictions.
