Jackie Baillie, Mel Ward, Claire Baker, Joani Reid and Anas Sarwar all publicly backed Sandie Peggie in her employment tribunal case.

Yesterday that tribunal ruled that Peggie unlawfully harassed Beth Upton.

Scottish Labour must now apologise to Dr Upton for this catastrophic failure of judgement.

Going to be fun watching them try to figure out a way to say "oh we didn't mean dual citizenship with a white country" without sounding like massive racists.

I think this is the right policy, but I am perplexed as to why Rachel Reeves thinks it is the right policy for London, but 'why don't we have less investment in exchange for a freeze' is a *good* policy for the rest of England, where the railways need more investment to start with?

My rule of thumb is that any illness that's:
- invisible
- chronic
- unpredictable
- hard to test
- culturally new
- requires employer adjustments, and /or
- welfare support

Will be attacked as illegitimate by conservatives.
Claim's of "over-diagnosis" are tactic a of delegitimation.

People bet real money this would be played in Miami, not Yankee Stadium
Penn State Clemson in the Pinstripe Bowl.

Right, I mean, so many follow-ups, like 'Keir, buddy, have you seen your OWN X feed lately?'
It’s all very reasonable in the article. It’s just that he’s going to be absolutely furious when he sees the vile stuff the Home Office keep posting to the socials. Any minute now.

After all that good will generated by Notre Dame in Marcus Freeman era, *this* is why they burned it?

It might stop the Greens hitting 30%, but the Greens aren't trying to hit 30%, and they don't need to hit 30% to cause Starmer problems

But there's another issue - it could make people who *do* care about this stuff likelier to try and stop *Labour* at GE29 for fear of govt dependent on the Greens
FWIW, the NATO line worked on Corbyn which is why I suspect that Starmer thinks that it will work on Polanski.
Ahh a low-salience issue and then a vote for Bart is a vote for anarchy. You can see the political geniuses behind the present disaster at work.

Notable: The only difference between the CFP committee and the BCS formula simulation is that the old BCS would've had Notre Dame ahead of Alabama and Miami. The rest of the CFP field would've been the exact same.

Per BCSKnowHow

The best game being at noon on Saturday is such a shitshow
Here is your CFP schedule

-Friday night: Alabama at Oklahoma
- Saturday: Miami at Texas A&M (noon)
Tulane at Ole Miss (3:30)
James Madison at Oregon (7:30)

The NFL plays an afternoon and night game on that Saturday this year, so the CFP/ESPN put the biggest Saturday game at noon.

Notre Dame was better than Alabama 2 weeks ago according to the committee. Since then Notre Dame won comfortably against a bad Stanford team. Alabama limped through against a rough Auburn team and got thumped by Georgia. Utterly insane
I keep coming back to this:

Notre Dame's two losses were by a combined four points. Their most recent loss was on September 14th.

Alabama lost by 21 yesterday.

Dropping BYU for yesterday but not Alabama is such a perfect chef's kiss on top of all of this. Honestly disgraceful, makes FSU's omission in 2023 look like a picnic

So, BYU was penalized for getting blown out in its conference championship game (dropped one spot). Which allowed Miami to move up and get compared directly to Notre Dame.

But Alabama was not penalized for getting blown out in its conference championship game.

Worst of all, the Playoff has finally put Notre Dame in its place ... but did so wrongly? How could you miss that layup?

The "how the team is playing now rule" just transparently does not apply to Alabama this year. Incredible. Notre Dame could very well beat these dudes by 21 to 35 points

This is the worst selection committee we've ever had.

Cannot believe Alabama didn't even drop one spot after the SEC title game blowout. Cannot believe they waited until the final reveal to flip Miami-ND. Could have done it at ANY point.

The weekly rankings releases really are such a sham. I don't have that strong a take on Miami over Notre Dame but letting Bama get off scot-free for that disgrace yesterday is bordering on unbelievable

How the fuck, like how the fuck, did Bama get ranked over ND
