Bills signed and accomplishments are conflated here. He passed the IRA but took so long getting it off the ground that tons of the program never saw the light of day before Trump axed it. I will never not be bitter about this. It was ridiculous and didn't get enough attention when it was happening

Is he at least allowed to sit on the ground, stare at them, and throw his hands up until they throw a flag?

Wish they'd spend more time admiring the hobbits instead of Sauron

And of course he is shorter than Napoleon. Thanks, Google, for including his height in the quick facts for some reason.

How many readers of mother jones want to hear from Jeffrey Goldberg? I can get that from any of my old relatives or from any shitty Sunday news show

WTAF? I'm really sorry for you. This is also just outrageous. We got the money we needed but we're still going to cut our best stuff??? They owe you and everyone a reason

Lady gaga and wet leg dominated mine, as well. Saved your playlist, thanks!

Does Zimmerman still work there? Seems like he misses a lot of meetings.
December 3, 2025 at 9:23 PM
Is this in an ongoing meeting?

Fwiw I appreciated reading your war crimes discussion the other day. Even if a post isn't perfect, if it inspires a nuanced conversation that clarifies, that is really valuable and exactly what we need more of

But a lot of that was switching to biodiesel. Isn't that a lot of what is stored at zenith? Seems like a potential conflict of interests?

Despicable. Particularly when one of his talking points/touted accomplishments was reducing his trucking company's environmental impact

The language they use of "seeking" versus, say, us "providing". Because we're not really willing to do anything to facilitate it

They should be tracking outcomes so they can make sure people are being helped, which is the intent of the policy, not to find a workaround to getting them behind bars

"Vasquez’s office will also track people in deflection for 90 days. If they “meaningfully engage” in treatment during that time, no charges will be filed, Vasquez wrote."

That they can only be bothered to track people so they can arrest them says everything

I would recommend not watching it. They don't get your money anymore and you don't have to see this casual violence anymore. Win win

I am still a huge proponent of paper. Dispensaries, bars, corner stores. That costs money though. I also might just be old and pointing out all the convenience of having a horse and carriage

As someone who isn't on Instagram, it took me a while to figure out that this is where that is happening. And knowing that has helped a little bit but I don't go on there unless I am specifically looking for something

Nazi shit is inspired by the genocide of the Native Americans. Is there a word for North Americans who support that genocide and slavery? Jacksonian should be a pejorative. Maybe it's just Trumpism. Still feel like we need something else.

I think you got lost on your way to Portland reddit
November 23, 2025 at 1:33 AM
But I agree with your posts and I have noticed it too. It is disturbing and confusing. I also think I'm not going to assume they're supporters of Trump and Musk because most people don't have as much financial wiggle room to turn down what seems to be a good deal.

When I say structural inequality, I don't mean that they're poor. Just not as well off as their rich white neighbors. There is a pretty big gap between people in affluent Portland neighborhoods and people doing okay here. Model 3 isn't budget, but with the tax credit it's a little more than a Camry
