A lifetime ago.

Cork City voted loud and clear.
Note: CNC has a largish rural hinterland.

I heard Rory made it for dinner once and and Judge beat the shite out of him. He left shortly afterwards to open a very very greasy spoon in the Liberties.

Voting done and dusted.
Cork North Central.
Turn out 'dead' say polling station staff.

Well, one candidate just got 2 votes but couldn't possibly say whom...

Mobility issues mean have to wait until voting buddy/driver finishes work this evening.

Going to spend the hours tormenting son and eldest grandchild until eventually they send me an outside their polling station selfie so I stop annoying them.

It's good to have a plan.

Dec 1918 G Grandmother brought my 6 yr old Nan to the Polling Station on the great occasion of, some, women getting the vote.
The vote was overwhelmingly for Sinn Féin.

Support for Irish Independence was broadcast loud and clear.

1922 All women had the vote.

VOTING MATTERS.

Regardless of who one supports anyone who believes in democracy and the Republic should be concerned by what played out in the mainstream media.
We saw an unholy alliance where journalists parrotted govt spin, lies, and defamation without ever engaging in critical thought.

There's a fine tradition in Ireland of people named Connolly putting the wind up the British.

Chazzer can't wait to walk to the polling station on Friday and makes no secret of his preferred candidate.

I checked under the bed. There's a folded up dog crate, and a dog bed.
The only logical conclusion is the mutt is a commie. Explains why her toy squirrel is named Rosa Luxembourg.

I saw one comment from you.
That's it.
No discussion.
I responded to that comment, and that alone, because thats all that showed up in the thread I read and I didn't know if you know why the ref made his decision so maybe park your snark.
October 18, 2025 at 10:16 PM
He played the ball illegally, in open play, in a manner the ref deemed prevented a likely try being scored.

He shouldn't have touched the ball while off his feet. He did so mere inches from the try line.

That's why the penalty try was awarded.

You should try and curb your tendency to be a condescending twat and answer the question.

What do you expect the President to do about the young wanting homes?
Since that's what you claimed this election is about.

5 years ago on the other site @caulmick discussed the protected disclosures that claimed Humphreys interfered in an animal cruelty prosecution. It goes way beyond a 'letter to the court'.

@caulmick.bsky.social dug deep into this 5 years ago.
The letter from Humphreys was apparently to the Dept of Agriculture who dropped the charges.

The were two protected disclosures.

Post you from a different era.

1969. Th era of the itchy woolly baggy tights. I hated those tights with a passion. Those are not sandals - they are Clarke's scuff proof back to school shoes.

Catherine Connolly demonstrated the ability to impartiality represent those she personally disapproves of when required by her job.

Heather Humphreys couldn't work with the sectors she oversaw as a minister.

Shame @irishtimes.com can't park their bias, and abide by ethical standards.

And there's the smoking gun.
Commadant Jimbob told the Indo he had checked his records from 16 years ago and there was nuttin bout dis. I said he better hope his former tenants didn't keep records...

Guess what happened next.

A tale of two headlines.

Presumably the husbands of Connolly and Humphreys are fine with having media scrutiny of their lives splashed across the media.

It's only Jim and his family who are paying for *checks notes* his decision to run for the highest office in the land.

Poor Jim.

What do you know about Ersin Celik?
How old are they?
Would they be of an age to consider a 22 year old a child?
And who here called her a child?

Marinette has been intercepted.

Israel has now illegally stopped the #SamudFlotilla while the Spanish and Italian navy watched.
