“Mother of Methadone” book talk this Thursday in Culver City. I’m a panelist and finishing the book and loving it, it’s going to be a great talk.

Learn how history shaped policy, and why we are so dysfunctional, hear me rant, and more!

Not to mention they’re just exceptionally wrong and the quickest of Google searches could confirm this

I must believe if you’ve seen what I’ve seen, in Buenos Aires and Brazil and Spain and Portugal, the señoras and senhoras recounting unimaginable torture they endured as teens for possessing a pamphlet, you’d feel it viscerally, too. 5/

This is a composite image, comprised of thousands of mugshots of political prisoners.

After the Revolution, the leaders of the regime and its many abuses departed to a comfortable life in Brazil. They never stood trial for their crimes against humanity.

Those in power wanted everyone to move on.4/

There were 5 pillars, fundamental assumptions that the regime said are not up for discussion:

- the glory of god
- the country’s greatness and history
- the moral superiority of the nuclear family
- law and order
- the dignity of hard work

Consequences for not falling in line were severe. 2/

Celebrated my freedom to shoot people and go into medical debt (but not my freedom from being shot or going into medical debt) by going to a political-prison-turned-museum documenting the fascist dictatorship in Portugal.

The “unquestionable certainties” that undergirded the regime are familiar.1/

Presenting on data that shows an average fentanyl user uses the equivalent of 9,600+ milligrams of IV morphine per day at #cpdd25 in New Orleans!

Unverified report of mass layoffs that would spell the end of the Fulbright program forever.

This comes after a funding freeze left current participants broke and stranded abroad.

They’re endorsing killing dissidents, already censoring media. This is not hyperbole.

The mask is off, we have arrived.

The UK’s Civil Service Diversity and Inclusion strategy is a fascinating read.

Logical justifications of diversity-as-meritocracy are ripe for the quoting.

The Hill chose this as their main image, lol. WHY IS HE THIS ORANGE?

I saw a make-up artist one time correlate how dark his make up is to how unhinged he was being.

But this isn’t make-up, right? It’s bad self tanner? Everyone jokes about him being orange but is there a consensus as to why?

The President of El Salvador has an ad on X, offering to house American prisoners including citizens in his torture megaprison, for a fee.

In 2025, this is not a troll, it’s a legitimate policy proposal.

ChatGPT, reliably illustrating my nightmares.

It’s not even that far off. This is 100% within the current realm of possibility.

As evidence, I unironically present you with the response to my ChatGPT prompt, “Which partisan lean is most likely to share disinformation, the right or the left?”

With much nuance given, the answer is unequivocally the Right.

FENTANYL CAN’T ABSORB THROUGH THE SKIN.

The casual spewing of disinformation would make you think this is budget TV. It is not, it’s Cross on Prime. Billboards for it are plastered over LA.

The serial killer put fentanyl into hand sanitizer, knowing his victim would use it. Then:
