Last week I was so discombobulated that I didn't feel like painting. I think I'm mostly recombobulated, so I slapped a little paint on a canvas last night.
I'm doing things in a different order for this one - decoupage then paint - instead of the gold ground first.

It is, and I wish it was normal worry, but at least I know that PTSD lies about how bad shit actually is, and that's what the meds are for.

Today's new art is a charcoal drawing of Loki napping because someone just had to give everyone a scare because she ate something she shouldn't have and my PTSD fed off of my cousin's PTSD about sick doggos and today went completely to shit. Especially when I smacked the shit out of my hand.

I'm thankful that since I live in a ruby red state, at least my family has a farm with a few acres of woods so I can get away from the madness when I need to, that I can also share with friends when they need it.
And if things go completely to shit, we're not starving.

I still feel like I have a sinus & ear infection (I know, imagine that) so while I haven't felt like painting anything, that doesn't mean I'm doing nothing. I'm trying to do more sketching and less doomscrolling. We'll see how that goes. 🤷♀️

Yeah, Crohn's is a real pain in the ass. I'm currently in the middle of a second run of antibiotics for an ear infection, so goodbye gut flora.

In the meantime, since I wear headphones most of the time I'm awake, they're usable when I need them until I get new glasses, which I'm hoping will be tomorrow.
I'm thinking something similar to these, blue, green, and/or purple tortoiseshell frames. Why not, I've never had fun frames before. 🤷♀️
