The yew hedge is 'steaming' in our little Yorkshire garden.

Happy New Year. Wandering through our little Ripon garden on the first day of 2025, I counted 15 different flowers on bulbs, shrubs and perennials. Some, like the Damask rose are just precocious but of those which fill my heart with joy, here is the brave winter aconite-with its dog Toby ruff.

Our garden up in North Yorkshire is a real winter wonderland this morning. So glad we lifted the canna and protected the dahlias in time.
