Just finished episode 5 of Pluribus ("Got Milk") on Apple TV. This episode was released early for the holiday. I'm kind of digging this show. It's science fiction. It's a mystery. It's a character study. It's also very slyly funny. The writing and acting are stellar.

Jeff Goldblum in California Split (1974). He played George Segal's co-worker. Robert Altman saw him in a play called El Grande de Coca Cola in the basement of the Plaza Hotel in New York and asked him to come to L.A. to be in the film, then made him the Tricycle Man in Nashville.

One thing I really enjoyed about Wicked: For Good is that early on we got to see some of Elphaba's vigilantism in defense of the animals (only referenced in the musical). My favorite was the building of the Yellow Brick Road, when large beasts of burden were being used in construction.

Good to see Officer Obie get his due in the article. He already had some notoriety as a model for Stockport resident Norman Rockwell, as in this pencil sketch (left) used nationally by Mass Mutual. And he would play himself in the movie (right). A pretty good guy from all accounts.

Thanksgiving Day 1965, two young hippies loaded trash into their VW Microbus and took it to the local dump near Stockbridge, Mass. Finding the dump closed, they tossed the garbage over a bank where they noticed other trash had been discarded. The rest is history.

My mom lived in Scotland for a few years in the early 70s and had a brindle Cairn named Claire MacLeod. She was a bitchy little thing, but a lot of fun. 😂

Now seated in theater 9 at Cinemark waiting for the 2 p.m. showing of Wicked: For Good. It's 2:10 and the trailers are just starting. Sarah's Oil (see below) was still playing when I walked in at 10 till.🤷‍♂️ Thankfully they're not showing Noovie.

Cinemark has 22 preview showtimes for Wicked: For Good today. I'm seeing it at 2 p.m. Before revisiting the first one last Friday, I considered a double feature of both films they have today. As of 8:20 a.m., this many people already have tickets to see the entire 5 hours, 13 minutes. 😲

#4GuiltyPleasureMovies Hmmm. Not that I feel guilty, per se (😁), but some movies that aren't considered exactly high art that I love would be...

By the way, I was actually considering this, but since I went ahead and saw the first one again...😂

Yeah, there was something about the 80s that led people to want darker stories and characters, I guess. Stan Lee originally created Daredevil in the image of Errol Flynn and Douglas Fairbanks Jr. in those old movies where they were pirates or musketeers. I love that stuff.

Now seated in theater 11 at Cinemark for the 11:55 showing of Wicked (re-release). I had been planning to watch it again before next week and was pleased when they brought it back to theaters. Catch y'all later.

I actually took on the name back in 2016 when I joined Twitter and wanted to be anonymous (so tired of arguing with old friends about Trump). It's fro⬇️m the old Gidget movies. Moondoggie was a surfer played by James Darren. This was my original profile photo. 😂

Patricia Routledge was a wonderful actress. She did a really good detective show called Hetty Wainthropp Investigates, but I've only seen a few episodes.

And of course she was one of the teachers in To Sir, With Love.
