I've spent over 3 hours on buses in Milton Keynes today, so I empathise.

Right now I could happily sleep a good 14 hours a night.

Meant that my bus to MK was about half an hour late, which isn't great on a half-hourly service.

Tuesday, innit

And to be fair it would have been fine if there hadn't been a police incident at the station near me this evening which delayed all the buses (because they parked the police vehicles in the bus turning loop, so they all got stuck)

I took my car to be serviced earlier, which meant I needed to get home without it.

Given a single train ticket was £9.30 (and I'd still need to get to the station) whereas an all day bus ticket was £8.70, I wanted to see how practical it'd be.

I'm sure it won't have been the worst thing they've had to handle.

That is an extremely "you" thing to do.

When I had my tongue operation I was on soft foods for about 2 weeks, and the sheer euphoria of being able to manage some poached egg and a tin of spaghetti hoops after a fortnight on soup was indescribable.

Just had the same email - quite a surprise, it made it so convenient to live there without needing to own a car for those big shopping trips or runs to the tip.
