I think pushing product over process, machine over humanity, and laziness over creativity is despicable. And more than that, it's sapping joy, trust, and beauty out of the world.

"AI" as a concept is a really broad thing. I think some harmless and helpful things get demonized because of it, sure.

I think the way data centers are pushing the cost of their operations onto residents of the communities they are built in is despicable. I think the way they are poisoning water supplies is despicable. I think the theft and augmentation of peoples' original artwork is despicable.

2) AI that is a legitimate accessibility aid, such as seeing AI for the blind, etc.

However, I think the current push towards AI in basically all tech sectors is not only a huge speculative market moneymaking scheme, but also a huge risk to 1) integrity and 2) our environment

1) ethically trained models that are built on free-use or self-made data (such as animation studios using in-house things to add texture to things, like how the spiderverse movies used it before generative AI was really a thing) in order to augment your own work, not built on plagiarized data

Pick varied reference images when you draw from pictures, pay attention to how weight falls, and take the time to understand how different muscle groups work together!! I still have a lot to learn tbh, but I've gotten as far as I've gotten through a lot of practice and observation.

a lot of practice, but specifically practicing drawing people. I think the best way to pick up anatomy is to do live drawing as much as possible - take a sketchbook out in public and do lose sketches of people, just drawing what you observe, not what you THINK you should be drawing.

my roommate is into the indie publishing scene - some really small presses will specialize in more risque content like that but you have to really go searching for them LOL

I hope soon I can relax and get back to my hobbies. It's honestly been really rough on me mentally not being able to truly relax when im at home.
