my brother, meanwhile, surprised me with an honest to god nintendo switch 2 and legends za. i had a birthday that 7 year old me would have enjoyed equally as much. he also picked me up a pack of pokemon cards from the store, like dad always used to do.

i asked my mom to pick me out some pokemon t-shirts and just trusted her judgment, and she got me eeveelution merch, plus a psyduck keychain. i have other eeveelution shirts, so she must have recognized them... and psyduck is a household fave, thanks to his anime incarnation. ;w; mamaaaa

i had a good birthday. it reminded me that i was loved.
