"Areja in a Blue Dress" - Digital paintover + layout practice. I think I'm onto something here. The combination of graphic design elements on top of sketches and one-off digital paintings makes me feel like the image gains a new life. It warms my heart.

During this Monster Month, I've been indulging my sphinx obsession with some sketches and studies. I love their folklore, their riddles and their symbolic presence in maximalist aesthetics. My world-building brain has so many ideas to explore!

A whimsy, nay, a silliness has consumed me. After one late-night vision and a new painting technique, I made Quinn. She's lil dragon clown gal.
