Little things that improve a difficult morning- an impromptu stop at the coffee shop for an overflowing Chestnut Praline Latte, reading cookbooks, and some excellent Floor Time with my kitty! Her fur is SO bright white! 🤭

I was anxious on my way to vestibular PT, so I sat on their floor reading a cookbook and breathing.
I asked for my discharge date to be next week instead of 12/30 (especially since the original discharge was supposed to be last week).

A #DNF this morning after reading 1/4 of the book.
The use of AS instead of Asperger Syndrome (now ASD 1) tripped me up. I had to “translate” AS every time.
The wording was not inclusive nor allowing for fluidity of the vast SPECTRUM of #autistic traits.
(I know the book is dated.)

The 9/11 one just gave me goosebumps.
I mention it rarely but I woke up on 9/11 knowing something awful would happen. The events occurred a few hours later.
My mom and I both knew/know when death is coming. For me it’s famous people and residents at my work. For her it was her dad and dorm mother.

The cookies with coffee grounds added are divine! Espresso-fine grounds melted into the dough and made the chocolate even more delicious.

Between August and December, I keep my eye out for my favorite tea company’s holiday teas. The only ones I found around town were the few I’m either allergic to or find too sweet. This morning I remembered there’s this thing called online ordering. 😂

I love making #waffles but hate cleaning the waffle maker. I’ve learned I clean it way too well. My sister makes a “sacrificial waffle” each time that “cleans” it. In-laws pop a damp paper towel in there to gather up all the stuff with the lowest heat setting. I go at it like an archaeologist. Oops!

This will be our new Christmas tree! A smaller tree with no lights (what we had decided we preferred for our next tree earlier this year). At least we got 6 years out of our first tree! It was a great tree!
Our new tree should arrive the 12th-16th. Then, I can decorate the it!!

Baked potatoes with puréed centers topped with gravy and some of the turkey from Thanksgiving made a delicious dinner. I think I’ll always purée the potatoes when baking them AND boiling!
