A highly educated society never feels in fashion despite this country being all for, constantly pushing, the need to be educated.
A highly educated society is a better society. Everyone with the desire & ability should be able to go to university. Individuals & society benefit, whatever the subject, so education costs should be subsidised. Public research is a common good. That, apparently, is a controversial take.

Do you ever feel bullied at work?
I've critiqued films and TV thinking I wanted to be a critic - my issue is when I see a film like this, I can't even critique it. Not because of its historical and cultural importance, but because some films and TV are just absolute fun and you don't even realize it until halfway through.

Given alot of the true crime I've listened to over the years, women have all the reason to be afraid to go out after dark. And with 2025 onward, I don't see that message changing given the state of things.
The awful message that we should be afraid of going out after dark has been directed at women since the beginning of time, as a way of controlling women's bodies and mobility

It feels like I do this alot - something bad happens, I take the blame for it no matter what even when it wasn't as if I'm balancing out some stupid scale measuring my life.
