Yep. I don’t know anyone with alcohol use disorder who has been this destructive, even at their lowest point. He’s a disastrous dick, booze or no booze.

Disgraceful, but not shocking.

The next day … Georgia drops Trump’s election conspiracy charges. 😞
November 27, 2025 at 2:44 AM
Some people think that. But I think others are more offended by those who take a lot of books at once, effectively cleaning it out, but don’t contribute anything. I assume that’s what people are complaining about. But maybe I’m wrong.

Uh … airborne HIV? 😕

You CAN swap books. Or you can take a book. Or you can leave a book.

“Sedition is a major crime, which I pardon when it’s done on my behalf.”

So … is his post seditious then?

Congressional lawmakers are not under the president’s command either. But the commander in chief can call a retired officer to active duty to face court martial. That probably includes Monahan.

Oh, ffs!
November 25, 2025 at 7:06 PM
Sure, but that doesn’t mean we sound celebrate a vindictive prosecution.

Damn! I figured this ruling was inevitable, but I was looking forward to seeing the grand finale in Nachmanoff’s court. It was poised to be an epic condemnation of Halligan’s incompetence.

I feel like the network canceled a series I was committed to before it concluded the season.

Don’t we? I think the media environment has just changed so much that we know *too much* about these people to revere them the way we once revered high-profile intellectuals. And there’s a lot more noise now that competes with these people’s ideas.
November 25, 2025 at 4:23 AM
It’s about *%$@ time!
November 25, 2025 at 4:04 AM
I was convinced. It wasn’t until 2008(ish) when I started to learn otherwise bc I read about how he manipulated property values. Then, when he ran for prez in ‘15, all the dirt I hadn’t read resurfaced. It became clear to me— but not to those who rejected “mainstream media” — that he was a fraud.
November 25, 2025 at 3:55 AM
lol. Breaking news: Trump’s health care policy plan is the same as it was 10 years ago — nothing.
November 24, 2025 at 11:55 PM
You’re being silly. I certainly did not imply it; you inferred it. The point of my comment was that the resolution opposes socialist POLICIES, and the New Deal was an example of socialist POLICIES.
November 23, 2025 at 7:07 PM
Um … what?! Can you highlight the part where I said FDR was a socialist?
November 23, 2025 at 5:42 AM
I don’t think anyone here said he was a socialist. I said he championed socialist policies.
November 23, 2025 at 2:31 AM
They could have voted present to avoid engaging with it altogether.
November 23, 2025 at 2:21 AM
I think we agree that the language in the resolution is intended ONLY to embolden Republicans’ attack on Dems. And, while I understand your point about not engaging, I think it’s perfectly fair and democratic to question why non-Republicans would choose to support that “gotcha” resolution.
November 23, 2025 at 1:37 AM
He voted for the resolution, which condemns socialism “in all forms” and “opposes the implementation of socialist policies in the United States.” FDR’s New Deal is a prime example of “socialist policies in the United States.”
November 23, 2025 at 1:30 AM
Yep. Yet it condemns socialism “in all forms.” So one could theoretically interpret it as a condemnation of some of our own democratic allies that prioritize social investments, such as Nordic countries.
It also “opposes the implementation of socialist policies in the US.” How could Dems sign that?

A a mash-up of quotes from months ago. He’s obsessed with this term he just learned this year.
