Actually packed a box, went downstairs to put it with the others. Slipped on the 2nd to last step and fell, dropping the box on my foot. Thankfully it wasn't that heavy, so damage is minimal, but not zero. Shit just keeps getting better

We still don't have the keys to the place we're supposed to move to on Saturday. Hopefully we can get them tomorrow. But we don't know for sure yet, and now it's a holiday, and it's supposed to snow a lot, and this move just keeps getting worse

When I evacuated from the hurricane in 2005, the Red Cross offered us cash to help with expenses.
The Salvation Army offered us "a hot meal" which was just a smoked sausage soaked in cheap barbecue sauce with a stale slice of white bread we had to say how thankful we were while getting preached at.
