I don't know if was the scammer running the account or it was BlueSky who responded to my and possibly others' reports but it's gone.

I blocked the account. Maybe, unlike Twitter, you can't see who I block, even if you haven't blocked them.

Let me test this and unblock and see if you can see it.

This is an AI image. Not a real woman. Probably some guy in India or something.

I think it's brilliant because Dorsey is assuming a desperately-needed leadership role in social media by acknowledging and taking a stance on AI infiltration. Vine is perfect to resurrect. It utilizes an existing audience, appeals to nostalgia, short-attention-spans, and isn't overseas-spyware.

I think we tend to project ourselves onto others. So those of us who are honest, courageous, principled (or the inverse) assume others are like that as well. And then we're reminded that they aren't.

I'm not sure what you're trying to say here. For us, he was "reporting" in real time. For them, it was like discovering a tome full of knowledge and insight. Maybe that's what you're describing?

We would all like them to be leaders, especially in times like this, but this would mean they have to be one of the people who would like make the world a better place and also have courage and ethics. I have a feeling this is actually a pretty small percentage of those elected.

I know I'm correct. You don't have to tell me, thank you.

People run for office for a variety of reasons. Some genuinely want to make the world a better place. Others do because they're histrionic. Some do it to acquire power and more easily commit crimes.

@msultraviolet.bsky.social just informed me that Amazon owns it. So, maybe not. It's probably going to be a great data mining project for them.
