Whamageddon is tedious and so I propose: Saviour's Day. The day that you hear Saviour's Day by Cliff Richard is your "Saviour's Day". If you make it to 25th Dec without hearing it you are deemed to have had an "unholy year" and you must leave your village and live on a hillside.
