A few different ways you can square the circle, but one way that is perhaps less challenging than either of those is to join ICC and give them retrospective jurisdiction to 2025 in the signing statement. At that point a valid pardon ends the domestic process and starts the intl one

We’ve passed half of our goal since the beginning of the day!
a Black Friday deal: it’s a great day to support our independent journalism at Bolts

We want to prepare for 2026 on as strong a foot as possible, and we’d love to grow our supporter count (at any level!) by 50 people today.

If you can—jump onboard and help us cover local politics and civil rights!
Support Bolts
We are a nonprofit publication that covers the nuts and bolts of political change, from the local up, and we need reader support to build our journalism.

i don't have a blog or newsletter but i think people should know that if they go to costco right now and find a half-off costco thanksgiving dinner for 8 and some souper cube freezer trays they could theoretically turn the holiday into a very affordable monthly or even biweekly affair

Chances are, most platforms have support (free and paid) to help you switch platforms.

Ask yourself whether S*bst*ck's "social features" are worth supporting n*zis.
Can you all stop using Substack already? If you were mad about Bari Weiss becoming editor-in-chief of CBS News, why are you willing to hand over actual substantial support — your time, money, and energy — to the platform that literally partnered with her in December? www.theverge.com/2024/12/17/2...

And the J-Street / Ro Khanna effort to normalize recognition of Palestine among Dems is contingent upon recognition being of a demilitarized state that cannot pose any counter response to Israeli aggression. I guess in the most shallow sense this is iteratively an improvement but only by so little.

It's weird seeing people get touchy about this post. Someone quoted it with "this is a minority opinion" when she literally starts with "I don't know if anyone else notices or cares".
I don’t know if anyone else notices or cares, but when I see a presentation in which the speaker uses obviously generated-AI images to illustrate their slides, it makes me immediately less confident in whatever other content they’re presenting.
