Nobody knows it all even if he/she is an ERC grantee. Congratulations to Laura and to you Arnau @bgarcialab.bsky.social insightful and tremendous amount of data!! Keep up with the good stuff you both!!!
When you start your lab, nobody has taught you how to supervise or overcome multiple difficulties of a PhD. I am happy that today the first PhD from my lab was well defended. Congrats Laura! Many thanks to @carlessaura.bsky.social , Ester Aso and @miriammelis.bsky.social for an inspiring discussion.

Polygenic and developmental profiles of autism differ by age at diagnosis - Nature
A study of several longitudinal birth cohorts and cross-sectional cohorts finds only moderate overlap in genetic variants between autism that is diagnosed earlier and that diagnosed later, so they may represent aetiologically different conditions.

A new #ScienceAdvances study identifies a neuroimmune pathway for treating sepsis, finding that dopamine inhibits expression of a critical regulator of immunometabolism.

This suggests that pramipexole, a dopamine agonist, could effectively treat lethal infections. scim.ag/4kfAfrZ
