Preparing to film the first module of my new #CSS course. There will also be text for the sickos who like to read.

We'll cover the essential features, but we'll also explain how it all fits together (and when it doesn't).

yeah i've done a number of gaiwan tea bowl sets and little teacups for friends and family - and always open to ideas of other forms to try :)

One of the porcelain pieces that came out recently - a vase shape I've had in mind for a while. Might revisit this at some different sizes.

a first prototype, on commission

thrown in two parts, then joined while trimming

porcelain! maybe i love throwing with it?

i'm still working out the exact shape, but the first one's a lamp idea if I can pull it off, then a vase shape that's been on my mind, and a butter bell because why not. #pottery

Working on some nerd dice trays for nerd friends who play nerd games with me.

Here's two of three, thrown then altered. One is drying ready to be fired, the others still need trimming - which I do using an overturned bucket as a chuck (or chum if yer fancy).

All the orders have been packed and shipped (not all of them so precarious), and I think by now several have arrived – hopefully intact?!

I really appreciate you all. Thank you for making my first pottery "drop" online a huge success. I'm so happy to have people using the things I made.

I'll wind down this week of pots with a few final highlights. Thank you all for supporting my art, it means a lot. I hope you enjoy the pieces!

The trans mugs are popular, and I just added two more – "Change your gender" & "support trans kinds"

Thanks to everyone who ordered already! I'm really honored.

I'm down to just one coffee pour-over if someone wants to claim it: art.miriamsuzanne.com/product/pour...

Fits great with my mugs! Support trans people in your morning routine: art.miriamsuzanne.com/category/cup... #pottery #trans

Get you some hand-made functional pottery! Or get it for someone you love?

Stay hydrated with an absurd 30oz hand-made faux-stanley, or show your pride in black & white. Hell, there's even some colorful pieces in the mix!

Finally online & already a few sales!

I'm doomscrolling. Here's what I threw this afternoon. Both are commissions, so "here's what I did at work" I guess?

felt sad, so i trimmed some gaiwan lids and glazed a whole set of espresso/sake cups.

maybe I should be sad again tomorrow and throw some things. Here's some bowls that came out recently for my brothers:

I'll be at @fullframebeer.bsky.social in Denver for a summer market this Sunday, noon-6pm, with mugs & bowls & vases & more. Come say hi!

(and maybe take something home - I know at least one of the other vendors is excellent)

It's all been a terrible misunderstanding
August 17, 2025 at 4:13 AM
Feeling pretty good about my first big pottery barter, enough to cover several haircuts and a full color with my favorite hairdresser.

Including some butter bells, which I really enjoyed making. I'm excited to finess this design some more. I have ideas, so I hope people like butter.

I haven't been posting pots this week. Guess I should fix that. Here's how the Sake set came out. One of my first experiments with the New Mexico IronStone.

I can say "I spent some time in the studio for my birthday" but the truth is I spend some time in there most days now.

Was planning to practice that sphere a few times, but someone had a Stanley, so I took measurements and gave it a shot. (+14% for shrinkage)

I made this strange turnip-like vase a couple months back, but never got around to photos. Maybe I'll revisit the concept with a bit more finesse at some point.

At another spot on the alignment chart, some small planters in progress - with deceivingly pastel unfired glaze over not-yet-speckled clay

Playing with vase forms, but maybe approaching milk can vibes?
