I've always used a local pool es.pool.ntp.org but TIL www.ntppool.org/en/zone/es you can use the default one and it will use the closest one:
"In most cases it's best to use pool.ntp.org to find an NTP server ... The system will try finding the closest available servers for you"

Some time around FreeBSD 14.1 was released (I'm not sure, I don't pay too much attention to periodic emails) my emails being sent via DMA started to use
