I’m no economist, but isn’t it government spending that funds services, with tax mainly used to manage inflation and behaviour?

The constant government doom-and-gloom about ‘no money left’ feels more like a narrative to keep the public accepting the status quo.

Austerity weakens public services while funnelling power and wealth upward through privatisation, outsourcing and rent-seeking. The public get cuts; the wealthiest get richer, all justified by a myth designed to keep people compliant.

Admitting the truth — that a sovereign issuer like the UK isn’t like a household and can’t “run out of money” — would expose decades of misleading economics. It would force real debates about priorities, break market dominance, and many politicians simply don’t understand it themselves.

Of course, it's always best to read past the headlines!!!

It does seem a pretty sensible approach tbh... 🤔

This story from six years ago really makes sense now. Nigel Fraud's party is a security threat.

Farage’s financial roots & foreign ties raise serious questions. When a politician’s agenda aligns with global actors seeking to weaken the UK & EU, the public deserves full transparency on funding, influence & interests.

Farage’s decade in City finance during the Big Bang era ingrained a love for deregulation & free markets. These views aligned perfectly with US libertarian networks & Russian oligarchic interests, making him a useful voice in global anti-EU campaigns.

To be fair, he probably has a LOT of questions to be answered regarding his alignment with those who would seek to damage the UK and members of the EU. Not just Putin, but far right US groups also.

He claims to be a patriot, but the evidence suggests he, and his pals, are something very different.

Hypothesis: Starmer is obligated to Peter Mandelson. Why else did he give him plum Washington job?

He’s been sacked over his Epstein links. But he & Epstein had other common interests & contacts. Mandelson was friends with key Putin allies for years.

The Conservatives & Johnson were compromised by Russian money & influence over years.

Reform obviously are.

Is Labour too? Could that be why Starmer won’t investigate?
