A reminder that when Carney says 85% of our exports are covered by CUSMA, he's wrong & they're weasel words. It's actually somewhere between 38 and 50%.
It's also not easy to be certified, which hurts small businesses.

I have MS Office 2010, which is old & way out-of-date. Played around with LibreOffice & found it okay but a but quirky. Just installed OnlyOffice & it looks pretty good, using all the MS Office file types.
Anyone have experience with OnlyOffice?

I read this to see, as expected, no mention of using N95 masks to prevent the spread of respiratory illnesses. But hey, lots of recommendations on hand washing & disinfecting surfaces.
So tired of this nonsense, as if there never was a pandemic.

Our big linden was late dropping leaves this autumn. Got up on the ladder to check the leaves in the eavestrough ― they're frozen to the snow that fell early. Damn.

Took several pulls to start the mower, then ran it over the late-falling leaves & let it run out of fuel.

#Ottawa's wastewater testing as of 23 Nov shows a small increase in COVID, a large bump in RSV, and a moderate bump in flu. Wearing an N95 mask would protect yourself and others.

We so need something like this to stop pols from 'flooding the zone with shit.' Maybe an independent commissioner and/or laws. Deceit is helping kill democracy.
I wrote about a novel approach to tackling misinformation currently being discussed in Wales--and which some say Canada should try, too. What if we made a rule so politicians couldn't lie? www.thestar.com/politics/fed...
Is it time to make it illegal for politicians to lie to us?
That’s the question currently on the table in Wales, which has just released a draft of the “globally pioneering” sanctions for politicians.

Former #Ottawa mayor Jim Watson will receive the Order of Ottawa, thereby tainting another 'award.'
Maybe we should rename the LRT as the Jim Watson LRT. Or, in keeping with his penchant for secrecy, tell him the location of the award ceremony is a secret.

It's supposed to be +4°C tomorrow, so the snow will melt, right?

I also want to curse our linden tree that took its sweet time dropping its leaves. Looks like I'll deal with the layer of leaves in the spring.
