I know that ad hominem is technically a logical fallacy, but it’s also an excellent shorthand for filtering out the worst people and saving yourself time and energy.
If the worst person you know has an excellent point to make, it’s probably also been made by someone kinder and more intelligent.

Yeah, I mean, I'm critical of any video nowadays that is trying to elicit an emotional response, especially when it's asking for subs at the end. It's weird that all the people seem to end up with the dog they want. And shelters are overflowing, where are the rooms full of people wanting to adopt?

I really want theatre going to be a good experience again. The last time I went to the movies my partner and I took the day to see a triple-feature, and somehow managed to be seated near folks having *full fuckin’ conversations* during all three movies.
I think there's nothing wrong with watching movies at home or on a laptop or phone or plane but it IS a markedly different experience than watching it in theaters in the format and environment it was designed for and the fact that executives continue to say they're the same is the real problem

After trying to restart it for a bit I exited and re-opened Netflix and the entire series had disappeared, apparently deleted from the app.
