Actual moose. Mommy aka Bruh. Retired army science officer. Did some cool stuff once but now I'm old and tired. Science strategist most recently doing research development and programs. Opinions are my own.
It’s very true. And I’d rather be remembered for looking out for others.

From the sidelines right now - It looks like a mine field out there for applicants to try to navigate with all these new loaded terms and uncertainty about intent by agency leaders.

I can only gather the anxiety from what I see posted here and it’s tough to watch.

Aww, that’s so lovely to see.

Tell him that he can still be mad tho. 🙂

They’ve had their ups and downs but I think siblings do that.

The ex first went with a wedge against me, and a wedge between the brothers. Divide and conquer. Cost them a close relationship, and I had the kids saying they hated me for years. Thing is, kids grow up and see it for what it is.

I told my lawyer he had no concept of how much self restraint I was exerting in order to use the justice system to its intended purpose rather than simply handling it myself. I think that was maybe a little much for first impressions, but, my teenager had a concussion ffs.

The brothers will have fucked up holidays this year because their dad abused my teen. They’ll be separate on the major holidays and their memories are going to be not super great. Big because it was 6+ was recovery and Little because his dad is now on a campaign to hurt his relationships.

So sad.

Since Big is 13 and the protective order ends just before his 14th birthday, he hopes his decision to not interact with his dad is considered in further court proceedings.

In our state (I dislike being stuck here w these laws) the age is 16. Here’s hoping for him w 2 judges giving verdicts of abuse

It still has driven a wedge between the brothers. Little still goes to his dad every other week. Big never wants to see dad again. Little is alienated from me and Big while with dad. Then comes back to me and they get along fine again. Big misses him a lot and is sad for the rupture between them.

Once we had the first final order (30 days) and my son finally got specialty care for his injuries, I hired a family lawyer to counter the appeal and request a longer protective order.

Thankfully neither judge in these proceedings would allow the 10yo to testify, and the 2nd hearing he sat outside.
