i forgot to repost it yesterday but my boy Roman made a really good video looking at why Simon's Quest is better than people remember, worse than some others say, why its romhacks sorta lose some charm in an attempt to "fix" what isn't broken (because stuff around it is). It's a really good watch

Every couple years I remember just how much I fucking love Megalobox, and how its probably my biggest piece of evidence for how a series can actively set out to spite what its inspired by without coming across as a cynical cash grab made by somebody who isn't a fan of the source.

Played through the first four episodes of Dispatch and yeah, it's damn solid! Feels like the type of show I'd watch with my dad weekly and chat about. Manages to strike its tone well, but also like with everything known to mankind i need it to chill with the romantic subplots because i hate them
