Once I realized AGI wasn't so much sentience or cognition, but simply the latest in the escalating heats of label slapping, I've pretty much conflated the AI industry with a 1980s cartoon/comic/toy expression of the military industrial complex's technology race buzzwords.

Wasn't very familiar with the SW d6 Shadows of the Empire Planet Guide so was surprised to find a fairly hefty treatment of Rodia and Rodian society. Was Shadows the first Star Wars effort at fleshing out Rodia beyond Greedo's presumptive homeworld? Any echos of this treatment in present continuity?

Wasn't very familiar with the SW d6 Shadows of the Empire Planet Guide so was surprised to find a fairly hefty treatment of Rodia and Rodian society. Was Shadows the first Star Wars effort at fleshing out Rodia beyond Greedo's presumptive homeworld? Any echos of this treatment in present continuity?
