It was a little crazy and surreal seeing the discourse on the Neil Gaiman revelations over the past few weeks. It made me reconsider my post about The Sandman series.

I believe that if you need to draw fast and clearly, for example when storyboarding, you need to understand structure. To me that means studying anatomy.
Here is a deep dive into skull studies. I painted these digitally.
I should do more of these.

I had fun creating the first version of the storyboard for an entire episode of RED KETCHUP for Sphere Animation. The storyboard was directed by Diego Sierra. It was aired in Canada but not in Europe. Not sure about the U.S.

A life drawing study from some time ago. I always find it tough trying to balance gesture and structure, keeping an eye on volumes and contrasts. I kind of got away with this one, I believe.
