Still early but we’re working on a horror game that forces you to work late nights at a haunted corporate office while supernatural forces slowly take over your workspace. You also get a coding ducky.

Did some mockups for the UI elements last night. I'm settling on a cute little "slimes-as-playing-cards" look. Also going for a squishy style to the buttons. Would love if I could get them to feel more slimey and gooey when clicked.

Went back to implementing the card mechanics. I have a simple system where players can spend mana to play cards, or they can discard them to get a little extra mana back. Also made a one-use card that can retrieve cards from the discard pile. Made for some neat deck build choices when playing!

Started work on the dreaded ice level today. If players don't passionately hate this thing by the time I'm done with it then I've failed as a level designer.

Today's my birthday, so I decided my gift to myself is to get back into posting about the progress on my game. I'll be doing more daily posts from here on out.

Ok I’m confused and search engines are not providing clear answers. How exactly do labelers on here work? If I press “show badge” does it show that badge on all my posts or does Bsky show me more posts with that badge attached? Same question for the “hide” button.

2. Risky Rico: an admittedly broken top-down roguelike in which all of your projectiles can bounce off cave walls and come right back at you with full force. My first and last game made in Unity. It's still charmingly buggy to this day 😅
