That's a definitely an argument Parliament should seriously consider - and I don't want to hear "but its too HARD" when in 2003 it had no problem retroactively amending the Election Act under extreme urgency to avoid a by-election nobody could be arsed with.

This is my basic conclusion too. There's a fluff piece on Bishop in Newsroom and there's a piece saying he tried to roll Luxo and was outwitted and there's some waffling from Peter Dunne, and none of these things add up to anything definitive. But they (weirdly) exist. Why do they exist #nzpol
